May I recommend any of The Thin Man series. Myrna Loy is one of my very favorites, and it doesn't hurt that she so reminds me of Kathryn, my best friend from school. Nick and Nora have so much chemistry, and their humor is amazing ... I even thought of naming my Ollie after their Asta. It's mystery meets comedy with a lot of sophistication thrown in. I'm watching "Song of the Thin Man"... I thought I'd seen them all, but I'm loving this one that somehow slipped through the cracks. Each of the films is fantastic, in and of itself. Must-sees, all of them.
