The Story of Vernon and Irene. Okay, so, Fred and Ginger heard this heartbreaking story about some dancers and decided to do the movie out of pity? It was awful. The dance numbers weren't clever, fresh, or integrated. And it ends with Vernon dying in a fluke accident and Irene weeping. The end. Seriously? I was so not prepared for that, and so disappointed.
